Ice Cave #1 Matted Print

from $65.00

I was in Alaska and I had read there were ice caves at Byron Glacier so I started driving in that direction from Anchorage. An hour later I was scurrying over huge boulders on my way through a rock field toward a glacier. Ignoring the signs posted warning about the possibility of ice caves unexpectedly collapsing, I eventually came across an enormous ice cave entrance. I spent about an hour and 20 minutes putting my camera on a timer and running into shots in the ice cave during which time I became increasingly wet and cold. I was getting to the point where I was losing feeling in my hands and was planning on leaving when I saw this shot. I had already packed up my gear but I unpacked it and got a couple more shots before venturing out into the rain for my 45 min rock scramble back to the car.

This is an unlimited print that is professionally printed. Prints can ship worldwide. Additional sizes available upon request.
